AI-Native mechanical tracking platform

For the field.

An AI-Native mechanical tracking platform for industrial plants and construction sites.

MANIFESTO

For the field.

For muddy boots, tired eyes, and lights left on late.

For those who look for the answer to "what do we do tomorrow?" at night.

Written for us.

From the founder

I wrote this software for myself.

I’m Erman Demirel, a mechanical engineer. I have worked in the field for over 15 years, with project experience in nine countries.

I lived the nightmare of Excel’s 17th tab myself. I was the engineer counting joints in the office at three in the morning, calculating welder performance by hand, finishing the client report at midnight.

I wrote this software for myself, then opened it to others. The only reason WeldTracker knows the reality of the field: the person writing it is a field engineer.

Positioning

For mechanical work only.

On piping and skid work, information is often scattered across Excel, PDFs, WhatsApp and paper. The answers to "which isometric can I start today?", "which heat is this weld’s material?", "is this line ready for test?", "which documents are missing at handover?" stay in people’s heads.

WeldTracker aims to answer these questions from a single record. Our focus is mechanical work only: piping, welding, materials, testing and handover. From fabrication to field, from test to handover, every weld, material, spool, test and document is linked in one record.

Three deployment options: cloud, head office, site — same software.

Problem

What happens in the field.

Data delay

When the field day closes, Excel opens. The office reads that Excel the next day. The decision comes a day later.

NDT loop

Where is the rejected weld, who made it, what gets retested? Three versions in three files.

Parallel flows

Piping waits, equipment arrives, fit-up continues. What is on plan, what is behind, what runs in parallel: tracked by hand.

Reporting load

On my sites, the weekly client report took two days to prepare. For those two days, the site ran on other sources.

Calculate with your own numbers

Annual repair cost from three numbers in your own records.

Weld volume per year (dia-inch). The thousands separator can be a dot or a comma (6.000 or 6,000 = six thousand).
dia-inch
Repaired dia-inch ÷ total dia-inch. Not the same as the first-radiograph rejection rate. Reference (not a default; not dia-inch based, it is count or length based): in TWI’s industry survey the average weld repair rate in oil-and-gas and power work is 1-3%, local peaks up to 25%; 2011 survey, sample not stated, calculation methods differ. Source: TWI, “Repair statistics of manufacturing and fabrication welding”.
%
Cost to you of one repaired dia-inch (USD). Add up removal/gouging, re-welding, re-radiography, labour and schedule impact from your own records.

Enter all three values.

Values are calculated in your browser and are not sent to a server.

Can you get these numbers from your own records? Weld log, NDE and repair records give them.

Solution

The WeldTracker approach.

One record

Data entered from the field phone (PWA) is visible in the office right away. Materials, welds, NDT, tests and shipment are tracked in the same record; every change leaves a trace.

AI reads, the engineer approves

AI reads isometric drawings and Excel files and produces suggestions. The engineer approves, and only the approved data enters the record. AI does not decide; it draws the map of information.

Part tracking with QR

Heat numbers, warehouse receipt and cut-offs are tracked with QR. Anyone in the field can read a part’s origin and history on a phone.

Handover package

When the project closes, an as-built data package is generated (weld and NDT records, signature matrix, form PDFs, manifest).

What is available today?

Three labels: Available (works in the product), Partial coverage, Planned (does not exist yet).

Mechanical tracking

Available

From isometric to handover, one record

  • AI isometric analysis (with engineer approval)
  • Excel import
  • Weld log, welder and qualification tracking
  • NDT and PWHT records
  • Material traceability: heat, QR, warehouse
  • Material readiness (Workfront)
  • Hydrotest / test package and punchlist
  • Non-conformance records, forms and report center
  • Document control (DCC), enabled per project
  • As-built data package and databook

Data exchange

Partial coverage

Toward standards and integration

  • Export material properties using a CFIHOS property mapping

Next

Planned

Does not exist yet, no date promised

  • Integration work with customer systems (e.g. ERP)
  • Measurement and validation work
  • Plant-specific, locally run small language model (depends on investment)

"Available" means the product feature exists. It is not a claim of results measured at a customer site.
