WeldTracker: company information

What is WeldTracker?

An AI-Native mechanical tracking platform for industrial plants and construction sites. From fabrication to field, from testing to handover, every weld, material, spool, test and document is linked in one record. People on site (welders, quality control, storekeepers, engineers) use it directly. Our focus is mechanical work only: piping, welding, materials, testing and handover.

What problem does it address?

On piping and skid projects, information is often spread across Excel, PDF, WhatsApp and paper. Answers to "which isometric can I start today?", "which heat is this weld’s material?", "is this line ready for test?", "which documents are missing at handover?" stay in people’s heads. WeldTracker aims to answer these from a single record. For industry figures see Industry data; each number is shown with its source and its limit.

How does it work?

AI does not decide; it draws the information map. The decision belongs to the engineer.

  1. Input: isometric drawings and Excel files are ingested. AI reads them and proposes; an engineer approves; only approved data enters the record.
  2. Flow: materials, welding, non-destructive examination (NDE), hydrotest, cleaning and shipment are tracked in one record; every change leaves a trail.
  3. Handover: when a project closes, an as-built data package is generated (weld and NDE records, signature matrix, form PDFs, manifest).

What can be used today?

Small locally run language model specific to industrial plantsPlanned, investment-dependent

"Available" means the feature exists in the product. It is not a claim of measured results at a customer site.

Who uses it?

Welders, fit-up crews, NDE and quality inspectors, storekeepers, foremen, engineers, project managers. Screens prioritize by role; a module is not hidden because of a role (which modules are open depends on the organization’s licence and the project type). It runs on phone and browser (PWA) on site. The interface is in Turkish, English, French and German.

Why this founder?

Erman Demirel is a mechanical engineer with more than 15 years of field experience and project work in nine countries. He lived the limits of tracking welds in Excel, then turned it into a product. The person who designed and coded the product is also someone who knows the field. This describes the source of knowledge; it is not a claim of superiority.

What is different?

It is broader than an isometric reader: it keeps one record from drawing to handover and asks for engineer approval at each step. Records are isolated between organizations (PostgreSQL row-level security). It can run in the cloud or on the customer’s own server.

Alternatives

Excel and paper, plant design software, ERP systems, general project management tools, and software specific to weld tracking exist. Each does a different job well. WeldTracker aims not to replace them, but to keep the mechanical record on site. We do not publish a comparison table because we do not want to state claims about others’ products that we cannot verify.

Business model

The product is not sold as an off-the-shelf package. It is set up by integrating with the customer’s existing systems (e.g. ERP). Price is not published on this page; it is discussed on request.

Verification

Customer references are not shared publicly; they are shared on request, with the customer’s permission.

Maturity level: TRL 6, a prototype demonstrated in a relevant environment.

Accuracy and analysis time of isometric extraction are not yet measured; once measured, they will be published here with the method.

Security and data

  • Organizations’ data is separated by PostgreSQL row-level security.
  • Record changes leave an audit trail.
  • Three deployment options: cloud, head office, site — same software. The cloud version runs on DigitalOcean; head office and site installations run on the customer’s own servers.
  • For personal data, the customer is the data controller and WeldTracker is the data processor. A data processing agreement (DPA) template is available.
  • We do not claim any security certification (ISO 27001, SOC 2, etc.) not listed on this page; we do not hold them.

Team

Founder: Erman Demirel.

What is next?

At category level, without date promises: integration work, measurement and validation work, and, if investment arrives, going deeper on the AI side (a small locally run language model specific to industrial plants). Today’s product uses Anthropic’s Claude API; we do not have our own language model.
